About me:I recently had a stroke which meant that when my carer arrived, they had to get the police to force entry into my home. This resulted in me spending a short amount of time in hospital and whilst there; my social worker suggested that I consider using a telecare service once I returned home.
1) Reach Alarm Unit
The alarm unit plugs into the telephone line and automatically dials the response service if I need help. It has a built in microphone and speaker and receives radio signals from my other sensors.
2) Smoke Detector
The smoke detector is linked to my alarm unit by a radio signal and will play a message to remind me to leave the house in the event of a fire.
3) Carbon Monoxide Detector
The carbon monoxide detector is linked to my alarm unit by a radio signal and will automatically
alert the monitoring centre in the event of carbon monoxide being detected.
4) Personal Pendant
I wear my pendant at all times in case I need to call for assistance. It's easy to press and what's even better is that it's totally waterproof so I can take it into the bathroom too
