Kimberly (Age 27)

About me:

I'm 27 years old and I have been diagnosed with learning disabilities and severe epilepsy since birth.

I live at home with my mum and dad and I used to have a baby monitor to help me should I have a seizure. Lucky for us we now have Telecare and I use an epilepsy detector and a pendent to keep me safe, particularly when mum or dad need to go to work or pop to the shops.

Reach Alarm Unit

1) Reach Alarm Unit

The alarm unit plugs into the telephone line and automatically dials the response service if I need help. It has a built in microphone and speaker and receives radio signals from my other sensors.

Personal Pendant

2) Personal Pendant

I wear my pendant at all times in case I need to call for assistance. It's easy to press and what's even better is that it's totally waterproof so I can take it into the bathroom too

Epilepsy Detector

3) Epilepsy Detector

A highly sensitive epilepsy sensor that can be placed under the mattress to analyse the frequency of movement and activate an alarm when appropriate
